Don May Construction has been building in the Oceanside Area since 1973. The company started with Don May building homes around Qualicum Beach and grew into a family run construction company that now works across Qualicum Beach, Parksville, and the Oceanside Area.
Don May started the company more than fifty years ago, building homes around Qualicum Beach with the same down to earth approach the company still runs on today.
Derek Heinz is Don May's grandson. He grew up on jobsites with Don, started his carpentry apprenticeship in high school, earned his Red Seal at 22, and now runs the company.
Project management
Owner representation, subtrade coordination, scheduling, and site reporting for complex or out of town projects.
Commercial construction
Ground up commercial builds, tenant improvements, and small commercial renovations for local owners and tenants.

Feasibility work, lot servicing coordination, and pre construction planning for owners with land or considering a purchase.
